One of the Hurricane Katrina victims has put a rather large price tag on their pain and suffering. The mysterious plaintiff is suing the US government for $3 quadrillion. The suit was filed in filed in Baker, LA about 93 miles from New Orleans
Approximately 489,000 claims have been filed against the government because of damage caused by the levee breaks. The Army Corps of Engineers states that they have received at least 247 suits asking for at least $1 billion each.
The Army Corps of Engineers has accepted responsibility for the levees breaking, due to poor design. The city of New Orleans has also filed suit against the corps for $77 billion.
